Little Beginnings Toddlers Child Care (2-3 years)
The toddler years are where everything starts to click. First words turn into conversations, wobbly steps become confident movement, and curiosity seems to grow by the minute. Our toddlers child care program is designed to support this exciting stage, giving your child the space to explore, express themselves, and build confidence in a safe, nurturing environment.
At Little Beginnings, we care for toddlers aged 2–3 years through a play-based learning approach guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) that encourages children to discover their own interests and strengths. Rather than simply keeping children occupied, every experience is thoughtfully guided to support their rapid cognitive, social, and emotional development.
More than simple childcare: early learning in action
Our program goes beyond traditional day care, focusing on early education through purposeful play.
Whether it’s building, painting, role-playing, or group activities, each experience is designed to help your child develop communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and emotional awareness. As toddlers begin to concentrate, experiment, and interact more with others, our educators gently guide these moments into meaningful learning opportunities.
It might look like simple play on the surface – but underneath, your child is learning how to share, express ideas, and navigate the world around them which will have a big impact when they start preparing for school.
Supporting growing independence
One of the biggest shifts during the toddler years is the desire for independence. You’ll start to notice it in the little things; wanting to feed themselves, make choices, or saying “I do it.”
We embrace this stage by encouraging children to take part in daily routines and make choices throughout the day. With the support of caring educators, toddlers begin to build confidence in their abilities while learning important life skills like cooperation, patience, and self-regulation.
Building a strong foundation for the years ahead
The toddler stage is a powerful window for growth. With the right support, children begin to build the skills that set the foundation for future learning, from communication and confidence to independence and social connection.
Our toddlers childcare program offers more than supervision. It’s a space where your child can explore freely, learn naturally, and grow into a confident, capable learner.
If you’re looking for a childcare environment where your toddler is truly supported, guided, and understood, we invite you to book a tour and see the difference for yourself.

EXCELLENT Based on 17 reviews Posted on Tara BellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been with Little Beginnings for almost 7 years now, with both of my children. We have watched it becomes such a wonderful warm place once it was taken over by Leanne and Viv. It was so nice to know all the staff so well when it came time for my youngest to start attending. The team have flourished, especially with Vivian, then Hema becoming part of the management/Director team. Fantastic communication, they will happily talk with you anytime that you need. They really do love our kids and care for them so well. My son has a food allergy too, and they are very mindful and careful about it. All the amazing workers in Baby/Toddler room work so well with my daughter who has severe speech delay, she loves them! Kacie has been wonderful in supporting my son with school drops offs and Vac care. I look forward to more years ahead, with my youngest moving up to be with Patsy in Kindy room soon, who was so wonderful with my son too. All staff are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. Cannot recommend this daycare enough.Posted on jo ManningTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Both our children attend, my daughter in the babies room and my son in kindy. My son started at 10 months old in babies and the care they have shown is above and beyond a ‘just a job’. These ladies clearly love what they do! And the communication and updates are spot on. The team at Little Beginnings are such an asset to Forrestfield! We've been at this daycare for over 6 years, and i cannot speak highly enough of the care and dedication shown by every single educator here. What stands out most is how genuinely warm and friendly they are as soon as you enter the door. The owners and educators have created a real family atmosphere. In the years i have been here they have expanded the centre and upgraded the outdoor play equipment...that i can never get my boy to leave at pick up as he is having so much fun but they are constantly upgrading equipment/furniture and toys. My children have thrived here and i feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a nurturing and professional enviroment for my kids. I would recommend this daycare to any family without hesitation.Posted on DelaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve been very happy with this day care centre. My daughter started when she was 1 in the baby room. the staff have always been so caring and attentive. Drop offs are much easier knowing she’s greeted with cuddles and kindness. Everyone is friendly and I’m genuinely thankful for the work they do. She’s thriving, loves seeing her friends, and we really enjoy the daily updates on the app showing the different activities they do. They also have a branch in Beckenham, which my daughter attended first while we were waiting for a spot at this centre. Both facilities have been wonderfulPosted on Kaylene GallowayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Amazing Daycare! I couldn’t be happier with the care my two boys receive at this daycare. One is in the Babies Room and the other is in the Kindy Room, and both of them absolutely love it. The educators are so patient, caring, and genuinely invested in the kids’ wellbeing. The Babies Room team treat my little one like their own, always keeping me updated and making sure he feels safe, loved, and comfortable. My older boy in the Kindy Room has learned so much—his confidence, social skills, and independence have all grown so much since starting here. The communication is excellent, the environment is always clean and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond every day. I feel so grateful knowing my boys are in such good hands. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a supportive, trustworthy, and nurturing childcare service.
